Valley State Bank Expanding to NE Wichita
Valley State Bank is pleased to announce the construction of a new branch at 21st and Garnett in Wichita, KS. The bank is also entering into an educational partnership with Trinity Academy. According to Jonathan Holmes, President of Valley State Bank, “We are excited to expand our footprint into Northeast Wichita. Our core values, our focus on relationship-based banking and our commitment to financial education in partnership with Trinity Academy and Campus High School add real value to the surrounding community.” Valley State Bank is headquartered in Belle Plaine with branches in Derby, South Wichita and an educational branch at Campus High School. Doug Morley, CEO said “We already have a customer base in the area, so it made sense to expand. The partnership with Trinity will allow us to teach more students about banking and finance and provide internship opportunities through our education program.” The bank is looking forward to serving existing customers as well as introducing the many benefits of community banking to consumers and businesses in the area. Construction will start late summer and is expected to be completed in early 2022.
